Working with pages, links and documents is very easy in SEEEMS.CMS. They can be placed anywhere in both menu and content areas and managed from Front Edit or BackOffice. You can even move pages, links and documents back and forth between menu and content.

For navigation between the different pages a website contains of menus, hyperlinks and buttons.

Hyperlinks can be placed within text elements and are provided as components to be added to pages or as additional properties to elements like images.

Buttons are usually defined in context of forms to commit user input. And SEEEMS provides the component to build forms in a flexible way. More details about button component can be found in Form section of Seeems Manuals.

Menus reflect the structure of a website. This means its page hierarchy. This structure is built by page components that build the static structure of a website and view components to show display product category structures, news collection structures or blog collections. Views can be linked to according structures that are contained in the SEEEMS object tree or from external sources. Menus can also be enhanced by hyperlinks, linking to an arbitrary page. The position of menus is defined in the layout. This means when selecting a template for a new page the menu is automatically there. Additional menus can be added as content elements to web pages. In most of the cases the basic navigation on your website is structured in two different navigation approaches:

  1. Menu navigation - one or more menus
  2. In content navigation - from every single page

Navigation

Seeems Navigation 1

The most used Navigation components are the following ones:

  1. Page
  2. Link (Hyperlink)
  3. InlineMenu

With these you can build any navigation structure. Placing them in a menu or on a page will automatically generate navigation so you don’t need to make additional settings like placing references in menus or content in order to link to the newly created page – this is done automatically. Typically, the page component is used to create new content pages in either menu or content areas. It creates both page and dynamic reference to the page in one simple process.

Link component in most of the cases is used for linking to internal or external page or content.

File Management

Seeems File Documents

The basic File Management component is File document (Downloadable file). It can contain almost any file type that can be handled on a website as a document for download.
